Zan Economopoulos Fine Art
Much of my artwork is still associated with Zan Economopoulos, but I prefer to go by my married name, Jackson.
Art was the center of my mother’s life, and so it became mine. I now paint on her easel, which dates from the 1950’s. I may be best known in the Arabian Horse community because I enjoyed international recognition portraying Arabian horses, having sold all over Europe and the Middle East, primarily with my Whymzee watercolors which portrayed the Arabian as a stylized, snobbish fashion model. In recent years, I have enjoyed working for the Sportsmans Gallery in Charleston, Nashville, and Beaver Creek, Colorado. I worked for the gallery here in Atlanta, and now I do portraits on whiskey and wine glasses for the gallery, which always surprises me with its popularity. I’ve done literally hundreds. I am a recent widow and am looking at Cartersville as a place to move so that I can better enjoy being a member of the Booth Artists' Guild.
