Giddy Richt (Pam Testerman)

I am a portrait artist living on a farm in Sewanee, Tennessee, a setting that provides endless inspiration for my work.

I have a particular interest in portraying Native Americans from over a hundred years ago. My goal is to make viewers pause and wonder about the story of each person, to bring them back to life through my art.

I work in a representational style using colored pencils on canvas. By working on canvas, the final pieces are stretched like paintings, eliminating the need for glass and creating a more immersive viewing experience. Many people are surprised to learn they are not oil paintings!
